Antoine Langenieux-Villard


Antoine Langenieux-Villard (b.1991, France) undertakes a constant investigation of the object of painting itself. Through a number of series he explores and stresses the importance of the surface, as a place to build. He graduated from Central Saint Martins, London, in 2017 with a First Class BA(Hons) in Fine Art Painting. ALV is a recipient of the Queen’s Scholarship Award, the Phoebe Llewelyn Smith Award in 2016 and the Kate Barton Painting Award in 2017. He was also the recipient of the Clyde & Co Art Award 2017-2018.

Currently ALV’s is a part of an internationally touring museum show, MulTIlayer Vision, from 2020 to 2023, from the Wilhelm Morgner Museum, Soest, Germany, the Vasarely Museum, Budapest, and the Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens Museum in Cornwall, UK. Recent group exhibitions include, Au fond c’est flou, at Adaventura, Brussels, Belgium.
