Dittmar Viane is a painter who lives and works in Waregem, Belgium. He graduated from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Ghent where he received his Master’s degree. Viane’s artistic endeavor revolves around the portrayal of personal narratives and imaginative tales, all within the context of his own intricately crafted landscapes. He takes inspiration from the late Middle Ages, the Renaissance and especially from the Flemish primitives. Viane represents unconventional scenarios and whimsical moments. These compositions are marked by a fusion of elements like absurdity, humor, innocence, enigma, tranquility, solitude, and a touch of surrealism.
