Part of an ongoing series inspired by Venice and Murano glass;
"The bol de fruits refer to the Styx, the river of Hades where after death men are transported by psychopomps towards their final destiny.
The empty bol de fruits represent the exhausted abundance in an object that evokes pomp. The image is cracked. More visions overlap like in a dream.
My painting questions our perception of images and of what we call reality to suggest something else." - Jacopo Pagin, 2020
